Decent value for Mercedes

I was looking for a good price on Mercedes Apple CarPlay Activation for my NTG 5.1 system. RACODINGS had a competitive price compared to other places I checked. The session was remote, which was convenient. I wish there had been an even steeper discount or a first-time buyer offer, but the service was delivered effectively. My CarPlay is working now, and I saved myself a trip to a specialist, so it felt worth the purchase in the end.

CarPlay works perfectly!

I got the Porsche CarPlay Fullscreen Activation and it's awesome! The remote session was super easy, the instructions were clear, and the tech was really helpful. My PCM 4.0 looks so much better now with the fullscreen display. I'm so happy I finally did this, it makes a huge difference for daily driving. I'll definitely be back for other upgrades down the line!

Good service, minor delay

I ordered the BMW Apple CarPlay + Android Auto activation for my F30. The remote session itself was smooth and the technician was knowledgeable. It took about an hour, which was as expected. My only small issue was that the initial scheduling email took almost 24 hours to arrive after I paid, which made me a little anxious to get started. Once we connected, everything worked well. Overall, I'm satisfied with the functionality and the value.

Anyone know if their coding services void your car's warranty? mercedes c-class here.

M Megan Romero 3 months ago

i was worried about this too, but from what i gather, most of these types of coding things aren't really detectable by the dealer unless they're specifically looking for it. and even then, it'd have to be related to whatever issue you're bringing it in for.

P Phil Beaumont 3 months ago

AFAIK, things like CarPlay activation or even performance unlocks usually don't void your entire warranty. It *might* if a specific part fails that's directly related to the coding, but for general stuff, you're usually fine.

Wondering about the BMW gpf/opf delete. Is it safe for the engine long term or gonna mess things up?

R Rachel Beaumont 3 months ago

It's generally safe if done correctly, but it *can* affect emissions and potentially warranty. For performance gains though, many people do it without issues.

A Andre Y. 3 months ago

I had it done on my G80, no problems so far. Just make sure you understand the implications for inspections if that's a thing in your state.

Are these guys legit? or is it some dodgy backalley operation? i just dont wanna brick my car, you know?

R Renee 2 months ago

Totally legit. I've used them twice, no issues. They know their stuff.

N Noor A. 2 months ago

Had my BMW coded by them. Everything worked perfectly, and their support was really good when I had a question. Wouldn't call them dodgy at all.

Thinking about getting the carplay fullscreen for my F30. How long does the remote session usually take?

S Steve 2 months ago

Mine was pretty quick actually. Maybe 30-45 minutes total once everything was set up.

N Neil R. 2 months ago

Yeah, if you have all the stuff ready, it's usually under an hour. They walk you through it too, so no stress.

Does RACODINGS do black friday sales? looking to get carplay for my mini.

T Todd Foster 2 months ago

They usually do! I got my full screen carplay from them during a Black Friday deal last year. Keep an eye out.

O Omar Bennett 2 months ago

Yeah, pretty sure they run promos for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Might be worth waiting a bit if you're not in a rush.
